Item Details
Description
(1841 - 1945) German field marshal who commanded the Ninth Army and 10th Hussar Regiment in World War I. He became one of the German Empire's most prominent military leaders. When he died at the age of 95, his life had spanned the Kingdom of Prussia, the German Empire, the Weimar Republic, Nazi Germany, and post-war Allied occupation. Signature on an album page, 5.5 x 6.5 in., adding his rank and the date: ‘General-feldmarschall. 31.3.25’. Per our consignor this album page was pulled from the presentation autograph album of the pre-World War II Don Cossack Choir. Water stains at the bottom corners, not intruding on signature, else very good.
