This outstanding skillfully made 1860s windmill blades/pineapple log cabin quilt is precisely hand pieced and hand stitched. The quilt is totally hand pieced with fabrics from the 1960's, made from a wide variety of cottons, stripes, florals, solids and plaids. Bar arrangement creates a jagged diagonal bands known pineapple or windmill design. The quilt consists of backed blocks with a wonderful early brown geometric striped fabric.
This quilt satisfies any antique fabric lover's desire for color and pattern. Log Cabin quilts are traditionally both pleasingly graphic and sophisticated in design.

APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS
Quilt measures 88" x 72". Blocks logs measures 14-3/4" x 14-1/4" inches contain 1/2" inch wide logs. Red chimneys measure 1-3/4" inches square.

CONDITION
The condition is good, some shredding on black material at corners, no repairs, no stains, many very small bites/holes in logs, as found. I photographed the small holes on front. The back lining is in wonderful condition.
The quilt is totally hand pieced and hand stitched with fabrics from the 1860's. The back is striped calico and with no batting, and has no edge binding.
I have not laundered this quilt, in as found condition. This quilt would make a great visual wall hanging.
