Description
Eighteenth century. Blue and white decorated interiors including ten cups and bowls with similar koi designs. Mostly assorted handleless cups and saucers, one cup has two matching saucers. Together with two similarly decorated floral plates. Stapled repairs. 8.5"d. Some flakes and hairlines, one cup retains traces of barnacles and other sea life, most likely from a shipwreck.
Condition
As catalogued, 10 cups and 4 saucers have rim flakes, two cups have matte glaze exteriors. One plate has additional hairline and one excess glue. One saucer has sticker for the Ca Mau Shipwreck (out of Canton, wrecked off the southern coast of Vietnam between 1723-1735).
