Rara edizione originale. Opera assai ricercata, con numerosissime tavole a colori raffiguranti stemmi nobiliari e con moltissimi ritratti ed emblemi intercalati nel testo, che raccoglie le storie delle nobili famiglie italiane viventi, riconosciute dal Regio Governo, con la descrizione delle armi e dei motti che le distinguono. È preceduta da un’iconografia dei Sommi Pontefici e di Casa Savoia, da un trattato di araldica, da una raccolta delle più importanti leggi vigenti in materia nobiliare e dai regolamenti che riguardano i vari cerimoniali presso la Corte d'Italia e quella Pontificia. Organizzata in ordine alfabetico, l’opera è completa dei due importanti volumi di Appendici pubblicati nel 1935.

Rare first edition. A highly sought-after work, with numerous color plates depicting noble coats of arms and with many portraits and emblems in the text, which collects the stories of living Italian noble families, recognized by the Royal Government, with the description of the coat of arms and mottos that distinguish them. It is preceded by an iconography of the Supreme Pontiffs and of the House of Savoy, by a heraldry treaty, by a collection of the most important laws of noble matters and by the regulations concerning the various ceremonials at the Court of Italy and the Pontifical one. Organized in alphabetical order, the work is complete with the two important volumes of Appendices publications in 1935.
