On 14 May 1948, the last of the British soldiers left Palestine and the Jews, led by David Ben-Gurion, declared in Tel Aviv the creation of the State of Israel, in accordance with the plan laid down by the United Nations.
The Delta Israel 50 collection pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel. The pen went on sale in 2002. The body of the fountain pen is made from a solid block of special white marbleised resin.
The cap, cone and grip are made from a solid block of special resin in a marbled blue colour.
The colours chosen for this pen are the same as those used for Israel's flag. The central ring is made of Ag925 sterling silver and is engraved in relief with the Star of David and ISRAEL 50.
On the top of the cap is the Delta logo in bas-relief.
