ENGLISH GAUDY-STYLE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF EIGHT, each featuring floral motifs, comprising two service plates with matching green and red flowering branch decoration, and six examples having underglaze blue designs with polychrome overglaze decorations and gilt accents including an ovoid platter with molded gadroon rim, two matching Davenport 6 /8" plates, and two matching service plates. Marks to underside include red-printed crown with "DAVENPORT / LONGPORT / STAFFORDSHIRE" below, various printed British Royal Coat of Arms marks, and impressed "DAVENPORT", "INDIAN / STONE CHINA", "REAL / IRONSTONE / CHINA". Davenport, Longport; Hicks, Meigh, & Johnson, Shelton, England; and others. First half 19th century. 1 3/4" HOA.

Six undamaged, except some having minor wear to enamel decoration; one green and red plate with minor rim chip; platter broken in half and restored. Manufacturing flaws including one green and red plate with glazed over minor rim chip, as made.
