German Militaria - Bavaria : Bavarian Promotion Letter of Nobility from the Reign of King Ludwig I. for Infantry Captain Sigmund Christian von Koeppel.

Blue velvet binding with seven vellum pages, partly written by hand. Dated Munich, 2 May 1840. With original signature of King Ludwig I.

The last page with coloured coat-of-arms painting and illuminated Bavarian state tabard. The sealing cord torn, the seal therefore loose. Silver-plated seal case with very beautiful, completely intact red wax seal with the Royal Bavarian state coat of arms. Diameter: 160 mm.

Accompanied by matricular - extract on the classification in the royal Bavarian nobility register, dated Munich, 18 May 1840. With embossed seal and original signature "von Coulon".

Very beautiful and rare nobility letter.
