Inscription: On the right, sitting on a rock under trees, a draughtsman can be discovered. Possibly Everdingen depicted himself in this place. Bibliography: Bartsch II.188.51.
Date: 1636
Description: Signed and inscribed in the centre right on a rock "A: VAN / EVERDINGEN /FE". Inscription by another hand in pencil "Everdingen". Catalogue raisonné B. II.188.51;d.51 II;H.51 III. Very nice landscape painting. A pedestrian with a heavy basket on his back, followed by a goat, crosses the bridge over a wild brook.
