A pair of Chinese famille rose plates
Jiaqing period, Qing dynasty
With blooming flowers, butterflies, and gourds, centering a metallic butterfly. With six-character Jiaqing mark to undersides; sold with associated fitted box and original handwritten provenance document. (2).

H: 2.86, Dia: 13.33 cm. (each)
Provenance: Mrs. Jolovitz, Bethesda, Maryland. Mrs. Jolvitz was born in Shanghai in the 1930s. Her parents left Russia in the 1920s and moved to Harbin, China, then Shanghai and Hong Kong. Eventually, they immigrated to United States in 1950s. These items were collected by Mrs. Jolovitz's mother in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

One with a small crack to rim. The other with two small cracks to rim.
