Three Chinese famille rose fruit bowls
19th century
Comprising one floriform bowl with lotus scroll, bats, and peach motifs, six-character mark to underside; one lobed bowl with cranes and clouds, six-character mark to underside; and one with fruit and calligraphies to interior and character with bats to exterior. (3).
H: 3 3/8, W: 11 1/4, D: 8 3/8 in.
H: 8.57, W: 28.58, D: 21.27 cm. (largest)
Provenance: Mrs. Jolovitz, Bethesda, Maryland. Mrs. Jolvitz was born in Shanghai in the 1930s. Her parents left Russia in the 1920s and moved to Harbin, China, then Shanghai and Hong Kong. Eventually, they immigrated to United States in 1950s. These items were collected by Mrs. Jolovitz's mother in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
