Description
Japanese Edo Period Long Katana Called Daito, Signed By Suishishi Masahide. Born In 1750, He Is Known To Be One Of The Three Most Skilled Swordsmiths In The Edo Period. This Sword Is A Great Example Of His Work. Fuchi And Kashira Represent Ayu (Fish) While The Menuki, Also In Red Copper, Represents Flowers. The Tsuba Is Decorated With Leaves. This Elegant Sword Is Almost 42 Inches Long With A More Than 26 Inch Blade. The Saya Is Richly Decorated And In Very Good Condition. Blade Is Also In Very Good Condition. Signed, But No Papers Circa 1780. Please note the stand does not come with the sword.
