Charles Lindbergh signed copy of ''The Spirit of St. Louis''. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1953. Signed and inscribed by Lindbergh in black fountain pen on the title page, "To Luciell Chin With best wishes, Charles A. Lindbergh." Book-of-the-Month edition. Octavo, xxi, [2], 562pp, with an Appendix, Glossary, and multiple illustrations, charts and graphs, and photographs throughout. The endpapers are a reproduced image by Burnell Poole. Blue cloth-covered boards. Silver titling at the spine and an illustration of a plane on the front. No dust jacket. Slightly cocked but sound binding. Boldly signed. Worn cover edges and bumped corners. With an LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
Lindbergh won the Pulitzer Prize for this account of his successful attempt of the New York-Paris flight that had claimed the lives of six pilots before him.
