George I Inlaid Walnut Chest of Drawers

35 x 38 x 21 1/4 in.

Condition

The top with warping, scratches, nicks and small areas of veneer missing with cracks to the veneer at the edge of the top. Evidence of old worming. Old restorations including regluing of lifting veneer. Replaced hardware. Side panels dry with formerly filled vertical cracks. Seam separations to drawer interiors. Bottom drawer front pulling away from the drawer. Structurally sound. Scuffs, nicks and shrinkage to the base. Feet added later in date.
