Description
PARR ATTRIBUTED BALTIMORE, MARYLAND / RICHMOND, VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, "2" gallon capacity mark, semi-ovoid form with rounded rim, beaded neck, and applied strap handle with thumb-pressed lower terminal. Brushed cobalt horizontal flower repeated three times, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Probably David Parr Jr. (1819-1882) working in Baltimore, MD or Richmond, VA. Mid 19th century. 13 1/2" HOA.
