Description
STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring the Arms of North Carolina depicting Plenty, standing with overflowing cornucopia, and a seated Liberty holding a staff with cap to top, having ships and stone wall in background with "NORTH CAROLINA." printed below. Marks include printed American eagle grasping ribbon with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and impressed "14". Thomas Mayer, Stoke-on-Trent and Longport, England. 1826-1838. 14 1/2" x 11 3/8".
