Chinese Ming Dynasty Cheng Hua DouCai Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. The exterior hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglazed base color which contrast against DouCai design color, is outlined in under glaze blue and filled in with over glaze colored enamels except blue colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Depicted of ripe fruit interspersed flower bloom foliage and interlocking tendril.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rectangles lines. Made in The Years Chenghua Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
