Description
Major General Gouverneur Kemble Warren (1830-1882) Signed Requisition and CDV. Warren served the Union in many key battles and was the commander of the V Corps for the Overland Campaign of 1864 against Robert E. Lee. However, Warren was too cautious of a commander and would eventually be relieved by Sheridan under the orders of Grant. The signed Special Requisition measures approx. 3" X 3 5/8". Larry Mangus Collection, Corinth, Mississippi. Condition- The signature has stains and toning. CDV has some toning and markings. See photos.
