Chinese Ming Dynasty XuanDe Blue and White Flower Porcelain Dish Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of abundant flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Upper base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
