STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED ANIMAL MOTIF CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FIVE, each having blue transfer scene, comprising two examples from the Indian Sporting series with anthemion border decoration including one featuring The Hog Deer at Bay and one depicting Chasing a Tiger Across a River, and three examples featuring Fallow Deer pattern depicting cottages with thatched roofs and two stags in foreground. Impressed "ROGERS" and "4" to underside. John Rogers & Son, Longport, England; and other. Circa 1825. 8 3/4" to 9 7/8" D.

Condition
Mostly undamaged, except Hog Deer example with an approximately 2" L scratch to front and Chasing a Tiger example with minute glaze flake to rim.
