Description
STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC CUP PLATES, LOT OF SIX, each having dark blue transfer scenes, comprising two featuring the Lakes (Falls) of Killarney including one with pink lustre border, one with "SHELTER'D PEASANTS", one featuring Three Sheep / Pastorals #15, one depicting Village Church - Left Side of View, and one featuring The Sowers. Marks to underside include impressed spread wing eagle with "ADAMS / WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", "8", and printed "SHELTER'D PEASANTS" to ribbon. Ralph Hall, Tunstall; William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent, England; and others. First half 19th century. 3 7/8" DOA.

Three undamaged; The Sowers having a minute flake to rim; Lakes of Killarney having some professional restoration; Three Sheep having a chip to rim underside. Manufacturing flaws including Sowers with a glaze flake imperfection, as made.
