CONRAD GERHARD: (1895-1982) German Generalleutnant with the Luftwaffe during World War II, Knight's Cross winner. Small collection of five T.Ls.S., Conrad, each one page, mainly 4to, Ubersee, May 1972 - May 1973, all to the aviation philatelist Hans Rossbach, in German. Conrad returns various commemorative covers which he has signed, hoping that his notoriety has not been overestimated, thanks his correspondent for a donation cheque, refers to photographs, expresses his hope that Rossbach has made a full recovery after being in hospital, and also comments on his own health and travels to Davos for skiing and to the south of France for a relaxing three-month vacation. Together with two carbon typed copies of letters from Rossbach to Conrad. Two file holes to the left edge of each letter, not affecting the text or signatures, VG, 7
