Description
A Pennsylvania Federal Mahogany Inlaid Cherry Tall Case Clock, Circa 1800. The white-painted arched dial with rolling moon phase, having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train eight day movement striking on a bell, the broken arch bonnet top centered by a brass finial with eagle, fluted column supports above a well proportioned inlaid flame mahogany trunk, flanked by fluted quarter columns, with flame mahogany inlaid box base below with shaped skirt, raised on tapered bracket feet.

Condition
The case and movement are likely together by association. The case is structurally sound and in an overall restored condition. Typical marks, wear, nicks, surface scratches and small losses. Each of the swan's neck to the pediment on bonnet have been broken, repaired and been reinforced with iron gussets to the reverse. The box base with a vertical age crack and minor movement to veneers. The dial has been completely repainted. The clock's movement is in an overall restored condition. At the time the condition report was conducted, the clock was maintaining power and striking correctly. With two case keys, winding crank, pendulum and two weights. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement.
