Description
Japanese Celadon Porcelain Vase by Makuzu Kozan, probably late 19th-early 20th century in date, is exquisitely potted and glazed. Inspired by Korean inlaid celadon, the the blue-green celadon glaze is heavily applied over plant motifs, painted in slip on the vase. The purposeful crackling of the glaze enhances the appearance of age and adds another layer of ornamentation. Base of vase bears artist's stamp. Vase comes with tomobako; lid inscribed on interior and exterior.
