An artist interested in the relationship between art and architecture (in fact, he has published books on Enric Miralles, Viaplana i Piñón, El Escorial and the recent history of architecture and engineering in Spain), David Bestué also focuses on the relationship between sculpture and language, visible in some of his latest exhibitions. In his work he analyses and questions buildings and landscapes through sculpture, video and installation. In the 2000s he became known for working with Marc Vives in the Bestué-Vives group, with whom he exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2009. He then decided to exhibit solo. He has had solo exhibitions in Madrid, Barcelona, London, Stockholm and the Reina Sofia Museum.
