North Pacific, Hawaiian Islands, Maui, Pre-Contact Period, ca. 16th to 18th century CE. A spherical stone tool of utilitarian form, most likely for a hammer. This would have been secured at the end of a wooden handle to maximize the force generated with each strike. Size: 3" L x 2.9" W x 2.125" H (7.6 cm x 7.4 cm x 5.4 cm)
