Lot of Ancient Roman Glass Cylindrical Cup & 3 Ancient Roman Glass Bracelets (ca. 1st-3rd century CE). Size of cup 4 1/4 inches high. Bracalet Size 2 ¼ -1 5/8 inches diameter.. The delicate greenish-hued cup with stylized trailing is from the Imperial Period (1st to early 2nd century). Made from free-blown from translucent yellow-green glass with a flared rim bearing a ground lip, it was probably used as a Patrician (upper class) drinking glass. The three Roman bracelets date to ca. 2nd-3rd century AD. For style info see ref. Ancient Glass in the Israel Museum by Maud Spaer #442 (59 mm), #443 Vertical ribbing (46mm) & #442 (43mm). Bangle design, perfectly intact. Provenance: Ex-Nancy Lassalle estate, NYC & ex-Washington DC private collection.
