Description
A classic Hima or Bahima peoples carved wooden vessel with several native repairs and decorations in hammered metal and with original woven fiber lid. Such containers were used for carrying and the storage of milk. Hima peoples, Uganda, Africa. Containers like this were also found among the Tutsi of Rwanda, Africa. Measures 10 inches tall x 8 inches wide. Provenance: A Private New Jersey collection.
