Description
Amsterdam circa 1820, the parquetry inlaid mahogany case showing a broken arch pediment centred by an urn shaped finial, over a glazed panel fronting two engraved pewter scales bearing maker's signature for Antonio Peia (1769-1845), engraved with weather indicators in Dutch and fronted by a thermometer on the left and a barometer in the centre, the base showing a boxed reservoir raised on twin peg supports. Measuring 49.75" high x 12" wide. Contents & functionality unknown at time of cataloguing. This lot must be picked up.
