This incredibly rare piece was hand made around 1900, likely in Central Europe, and features a series of white/blue enameled panels with flower designs that are connected to the equally ornate base plate by hinges that allow the purse to open like a flower. A chain threaded through the loops on top of the panels allows for the purse to be closed by pulling it. The blue enameled finial beads used to hold a cord or strap that could be used to attach the piece to a larger purse or piece of clothing. Very good antique condition with some enamel loss. Measures approx. 1 7/8" in diameter x 3/4" high and weighs ca. 27.2 grams.
