Needlework sampler, possibly Berks County, PA. Silk thread on linen by Eleanor Myers in 1819. Wide arcaded strawberry border (queen stitch), Dated 1819 LRC. An inner sawtooth border surrounds an arrangement of geometric floral motifs. Top center has large urn with roses. "Eleanor Myers' work". The sampler has received professional conservation treatment, mounting and framing. Berks Co. Pennsylvania, dated 1819. Frame: H 25" W 21-3/4". Sight: H 20" W 17". Condition: Very good condition. Very light fading and very light staining. One 0.5" hole in fabric noted at the top. Collection of Ann Fassnacht.
