Lot of (6) Art Deco Items to Include Earrings, an Enamel Compact and a Necklace Set by Claudette
For your consideration is a lot of (6) pieces of Art Deco costume jewlery and an enameled compact. The enameled compact's interior is complete with all compartments and accessories but no markings are noted. The exterior shows a rich off-white enamel painted decoration typical of the time. All metal components are intact and completely functional and the compact measures 3 1/2" x 2 7/8". The second item in the lot is a set of gold tone stacked disc earrings with off-white enamel decoration. The clip-on earrings are signed "Monet" and measure 1 3/8" in length and are 7/8" wide. The third item in this lot is a pair of clip-on earrings with a stunning pinecone or artichoke design. The gold tone metal is of great quality with each 'leaf' being articulated and with alternating leaves having a brushed texture. The 'pinecone' hangs from a round clip and moves gently while being worn. No markings are noted on these earrings and they measure 1 3/4" in total length and are 1/2" in width. The third set of earrings is a set of warm matte gold tone dangle earrings with round clip from which extend half-circle 'ellipse' type shapes. These earrings carry no makers mark and measure 2 1/2" in length and 1 1/2" in width. The Next pair of clip-on earrings is a set of chrome rectangular earrings with leaf and berry decoration by Whiting & Davis. The earrings are marked on their backsides and measure 1 1/8" x 5/8". The necklace and earring set are from a line name "Claudette", manufactured by The Premier Jewelry Company of New York City, circa 1950. The beautiful set is accented by large, radiant blue cushion cut rhinestones set perpendicularly to silver ruffled elements. The total length of the necklace is 16" and it is adjustable down to about 10". The earrings are marked on their backs "Claudette" and measure 7/8" x 1/2".
