Japanese Meiji Era Sculpture of Daikokuten, represents one of the Seven Lucky Gods. The God of Prosperity, he is typically shown with a bag of valuables. This rotund, smiling bronze mage of the deity stands on the large bag with one hand raised. This version of Daitokuten recalls the popular Buddhist deity, Hotei, the God of Happiness.
