Description
This is a pre-WWI automaton display made in Europe. This amazing piece of Americana has much provenance: after first finding its way into the museum of the CEO of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, it was later put on display at the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. CONDITION: There is one small repair to one of the young lad's feet; otherwise, it is in all original condition. It is fully operational: the dog's head moves and the young boy moves his arm and his head. The clothes are original and tattered, and there are areas of dust that would benefit from a good cleaning. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Good) Dimensions: 33" x 19" x 36".
