America, 19th century. A large collection of early Cincinnati, Ohio deeds pertaining to Peter Rudolf Neff and other Cincinnatians.
Peter Rudolph Neff (1832-1912) was an important member of the “Society of Religious Inquiry,” or as later changed and is commonly known today, the YMCA. During the Civil War, he was appointed as secretary of the Military Committee of Hamilton County, Ohio. He co-founded the Cincinnati College of Music in 1878, which he became the president of after the death of Colonel George W. Nichols in 1885.
