Second edition, after the 1815 original and another similar but earlier 1816 issue without the designation of "second edition. Slim 8vo. 182 pp., 5 engraved map plates including folding hand-colored specimen map at rear Half calf and marbled boards, gilt. Signature of "Noble Beveridge" at top of first two end leaves and the title, presumed to be the great uncle of Albert J. Beveridge, Senator from Indiana, and author of the "Life of William Marshall". Howes M-490. Sabin 47431. Minor rubbing, joints starting, small area of spine lacking leather.. Light marginal staining, minor toning.
