Ogni parte con proprio Frontespizio in rosso e nero e ornato con vignetta allegorica incisa in rame.La suddivisione delle singole parti e suddivisioni interne essendo condotta in vario modo (a carte, a pagine, a colonne) preferiamo semplificarne la collazione riducendo il tutto a pagine, inclusi Occhietti e Frontespizi, per cui essa risulta essere la seguente:I. Bellissimo esemplare di questa sezione della grandiosa opera curata dallo storico ed erudito J. G. Graevius, particolarmente ricercata per il ricchissimo corredo iconografico. Magnifica la grande veduta prospettiva della città più volte ripiegata, posta all’inizio della terza parte: molto interessanti le moltissime vedute su doppia pagina che raffigurano templi, collegi, monumenti, mausolei, statue, pitture, sculture; inoltre edifici pubblici e privati, pompe, spettacoli e animate scene di di feste e cerimonie. Queste vedute di Venezia furono ripubblicate da Peter Vander Aa nel suo La galerie agréable du monde (Leida 1729), e ancora nel 1762 da Cornelis Haak con il titolo Vües des palais.Cicogna 4478; J. Original Dutch binding, cream-coloured vellum on cardboard, blind-tooled covers with double frame, fleurons in the center of the covers surmounted by the coat of arms of the “Society of Writers to the Signet” embossed in gold, spines with two red and green morocco labels. Each part with its own title page in red and black and adorned with an allegorical vignette engraved in copper.The subdivision of the individual parts and internal subdivisions being conducted in various ways (by leaves, by pages, by columns) we prefer to simplify the collation by reducing everything to pages, including half-titles and title pages, so it is as follows:I. 520 pages, including the allegorical Frontispiece with a view of the Piazzetta and 10 plates out the text. Monumental work dedicated to Venice. Beautiful specimen of this section of the wonderful publication edited by the historian and scholar J. G. Graevius, particularly sought after for its very rich iconographic material. The large perspective view of the city folded several times, placed at the beginning of the third part, is magnificent: the many views on double pages depicting temples, colleges, monuments, mausoleums, statues, paintings, sculptures are very interesting; also public and private buildings, pumps, shows and animated scenes of feasts and ceremonies. These views of Venice were re-issued by Peter Vander Aa in his La galerie agréable du monde (Leiden 1729), and again in 1762 by Cornelis Haak under the title Vües des palais.Cicogna 4478; J.
