mahogany veneer case with broken arch pediment, brass 8-day weight-driven movement with simple calendar, dial marked "J.S. A. McNab, Perth"

The dial may suggest more of a mid-19th century date for this clock, however, Britten's "Old Clocks and Watches" lists James McNab as working in Perth, Scotland, around 1816.
