John Caldwell Tidball (1825 – 1906) was a career United States Army artillery officer who served in the United States Horse Artillery Brigade in the Union Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War . A letter written to a military superior, this document was written and signed by John C. Tidball. The letter concerns daily activity of a camp set up in Alaska that was headed by Tidball.
