Based on the comic book character created by Dave Stevens in 1982 as a homage to the movie serial heroes of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, this period film takes place in 1938 Los Angeles, where stunt pilot Cliff Secord (Billy Campbell) finds an advanced rocket pack that gives him the power of flight. Although the film underperformed at the box office on its initial release, it quickly developed a devoted following, especially among comic book fans, and remains a fan favorite to this day.
