Star Wars: Sequel Trilogy (2015 - 2019) is comprised of Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, directed by J.J. Abrams, Rian Johnson, and Abrams, respectively, and star Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. The orphan Rey learns about the Force from Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa then confronts Kylo Ren, Luke's nephew, who is on the dark side. The Force Awakens was nominated for five Academy Awards; The Last Jedi was nominated for four Academy Awards, and The Rise of Skywalker nominated for three Academy Awards.
