A Meissen figure of a Persian man, circa 1750
Probably modelled by J.J. Kaendler and P. Reinicke, holding a walking-stick with his right hand, wearing a white turban with puce-edged headdress and red band, a yellow-lined long coat with purple frogging and a puce sash with a dagger and a sword to his left side, white stockings and yellow shoes, the base applied with leaves and flowers, 22.8cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear edge of base (minor chips)

Condition
One side of the hilt of his sword is broken off.
There is minor wear to the gilding on the tip of his sword scabbard, and one side of the edge of his walking stick handle.
There are a few typical small chips to the applied leaves on the base.
Otherwise in good condition.
