A Roman 20 ct gold finger ring with a carnelian intaglio depicting Athena. She is helmeted and holding in her left hand a bird and in her right a long spear. The intaglio is attached to a round hoop with a "D" section. For similar see: El Legado de Hefesto n. 457. This piece has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
