Very rare 2pc picture box, 4 7/8" x 2", printed with both the Feb 5, 1901 and April 9, 1901 patent dates on the top of the box and the original mailing label on the box bottom. The box, clearly stamped "YELLOW" on the underside, houses an acorn body style Revolution, finished in yellow with hand painted gold spots, also marked with both 1901 patent dates. With graduated "Mickey Mouse" props, the condition is about VG+ due to moderate wear/flaking, much better than most of these rarely seen painted versions. The box is solid, grading about VG-/VG with general wear, mostly on the edges, and thin lines of glue residue in the repaired corners. Only a scant few intro boxes are known with a color stamp for the painted Revolution
