TOWLE "FONTANA" STERLING SILVER 130-PIECE FLATWARE SERVICE, pattern designed by Robert J. King in 1957; solid sterling pieces comprising 12 place forks measuring 7 1/4" L, 12 salad forks, 12 cocktail / seafood forks, 12 dessert / oval soup spoons, 24 teaspoons, 12 iced tea spoons, two meat serving forks, one lemon fork, one pickle/olive fork, four serving / tablespoons with two having pierced bowls, one casserole spoon, one gravy ladle, one cream ladle, and one sugar spoon; hollow-handled pieces comprising 12 place knives, 12 butter spreaders, a two-piece salad serving set with plastic tops, a large roast carving fork and knife set, a small carving fork and knife set, one pie / cake server, two butter knives, and one cheese server. Each with "STERLING" and maker's marks, many with pattern name. Total weight excluding 34 hollow-handled pieces: 114.595 ozt. Towle Silversmiths, Newburyport, MA. Second half 20th century. 5" to 13 3/4" LOA.

Condition
Very good to excellent overall condition with minor wear, minor to moderate surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, slight bending, slight worn spots to raised decoration, and/or possibly one or a few dents.
