Description

He began his career in the army of the West. Lieutenant in 1795 and aide-de-camp to Grouchy, he was part of the Irish expedition in 1797 before becoming Murat's aide-de-camp. He joined the Grande ArmŽe and became a general in 1805. He was sent to Spain, where he was shot in the forehead during a cavalry charge.Document signed "ˆ agts Colbert" as colonel of the horse hunters. Manuscript also signed by the members of the Board of Directors of this regiment (4 signatories) s.l.n.d.
