Early Microscope by Zeiss, c. 1882
Carl Zeiss, Jena. No. 5701, stand VIIb, brass, original lacquer, 2 lenses in brass containers (A no. 2057 and D no. 2233) and 4 oculars (1, 2, 4 and 5), draw tube coarse adjustment, milled head screw fine adjustment on the column, convex pinhole rotating diaphragm under the stage, 2 slide clips, swiveling double mirror, height 11 in., in mahogany case with identical serial number, overall very good condition.
