WWII letterhead for HERMANN GORING's adjutant BERND VON BRAUCHITSCH, son of Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch. The letterhead was liberated by Colonel Leslie E. Jacoby, Commanding Officer of the 5th US Tank Destroyer Group, from 'a Hitler headquarters building' in Berchtesgaden about 5 May 1945. The letterhead reads 'Der Reichsminister der Luftfahrt und Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe Adjutant - Berlin W8, Leipzigerstr, 3, Stabsamt.' Bernd Von Brauchitsch (1911-1974), son of Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch, was adjutant to Goring during WWII. In April 1945, he was arrested together with Goring by the SS on charges of cowardice and betrayal. 11.75 x 8.25 inches, chips at bottom. The document is accompanied by a certificate of Colonel Jacoby's son, and a copy of the foreword written by Jacoby for the unit history book.
