Description
German. 1940s. Marking shows "Made in Bavaria....". Bavaria is the largest state in Germany. The cars are marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This mark was used on toys exported from Germany between 1945 and 1949 when U.S. allies occupying controlled territories would only permit the export of items with a marking showing the item was approved by the U.S. for export. Marked, "Made in Bavaria US-Zone", on box lid. Marked, "Made in U.S. Zone Germany", on trunk by the on/off lever of both cars.

Box: 2" x 13.5" x 8.5".
Condition
Overall great condition. Original box shows some wear, tear, and staining. Includes ten pieces of track, two original cars and key. Cars are tested and working.
