Description
These three maps and view are from the Mexican-American War. The Battle of Brazito on the River Grande, near today's El Paso, took place in December 1846. The American forces were led by Col. Dolhian. His barracks located in Santa Fe, from where his troops departed from are shown of the Santa Fe map. A subsequent battle in February 1849 are dumented on the map and view -- the Battle of Sacramento. It took place 15 miles north of Chihuahua, Mexico.
