Description
A lovely, large, 19th century copper and brass lidded ewer (pitcher) of Indian design, probably used for housing and dispensing water. The body of the ewer exhibits a foliage motif separated by various archways. The lid is similarly decorated with a ribbed circular feature in the center. The lid is hinged from the top of a shapely brass handle indicative of a serpent.

Condition
Very good overall with signs of wear and age, no dents. Oxidation throughout. Some wear to brass handle.
